1. Information We Collect

When you use Helm, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register.
• Financial data: Bank account balances, transaction history, and account metadata retrieved via Teller.io with your explicit authorization.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and actions taken within the app to improve your experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Helm service.
• To generate your weekly AI financial briefings and personalized recommendations.
• To send important service communications (e.g., payment confirmations, alerts).
• We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.

3. Bank Data & Security

Helm uses Teller.io to connect to your financial institutions. We only request read-only access — Helm can never move money, make transfers, or modify your accounts. Your bank credentials are never stored by Helm; only encrypted access tokens are retained.

All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3).

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal and financial data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
